Popset

Our client requested us to create a website which wowed viewers. The striking red colour scheme fits Popset's existing branding whilst bringing out more oomph.

Below are the key features of Popset's website:

• Visual/html: (tableless design)(css)
• Web standards complient coding
• Fast Loading utilising css styling
• Coding: (php5)
• Random image and artist rotation: A custom coded script randomly selects an artist, and then randomly selects one of the images stored inside their directory keeping the pages looking fresh.
• Dynamic image resizing: All images shown in the right column are automatically resized to fit before it is sent to the browser, minimising download time and the need to create additional thumbnails.
• Gallery: A custom gallery script selects all the images within a certain directory, and puts them into the gallery list. If there are more than ten images inside the directory, then sub navigation appears to scroll through all the images. The benefit to the client is that he or she can simply upload one image into their preferred directory, and it is added - simple. The upload script checks the image dimensions and resizes it to the maximum width for optimum use and ease.
• Multiple and expandable gallery
• Contact Page: The contact page has is php and javascript powered and provides easy form completion with the edit-select box for the referral. This allows the user to either select an existing item, or type one in for example the person they were referred by. The contact form not only checks for errors made by the user, but also attempts to elliminate as much spam as possible by checking the email in the "mx records". This basically checks if the domain name in the email actually exists - if not, they are lying.
